Mama Maria

I'm a mom and a grandmom living north of Atlanta, GA and I love spending time with my children and husband. I devote a lot of time helping with children's programs including local Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, and coaching in our local youth soccer program (Go Forsyth Fusion!). When I get time to spend on myself, I enjoy playing puzzle games online, reading, and sometimes just relaxing by the pool. Friendship and music are important to me so I find this whole new world of social networks utterly fantastic... I’ve been able to build incredible cross-country and cross-world relationships. I hope you can be one of them.

In 2007, our family suffered a tragic loss of our newest member. My daughter Meghan was diagnosed with Hydrops Fetalis and left us at only 28 days. It was devastating to the entire family. My husband and I had a very difficult year overcoming the pain but the loss has ultimately brought us closer together and has helped us see what really is important in life. As part of our desire to build from the loss, we opened a business in 2008, Bustling Baby, in honor of our dear Meghan’s memory. It’s our way of helping other new parents with their baby needs and for me to share the parenting knowledge I’ve gained through my experience over the years. The business also gives us a means to contribute to children’s charities and hopefully help others from facing the devastating loss of a child.
