However, umbrella strollers are not advisable for newborns since they lack enough head support and they rarely recline. Umbrella strollers are found to be suitable for children at 6 months of age.

• Lightweight strollers – these strollers have a sleek design and have a lot of luxury features. Its size and weight is usually good for storage and easy navigation. Since the stroller is light, this allows you to push it with only one hand by simply grabbing the handlebar’s middle. Lightweight strollers have padded seats that can recline flat so it is ok for newborns to ride in them and can be used until your child’s preschool years.

• Mid-size strollers – if you want a stroller that can accommodate your child from infancy until the moment your child can walk then this is the type of stroller that you should use. It has high weight capacities and can recline in multiple positions. Mid-size strollers may be larger compared to other types of strollers but its strong full frame assures you of durability from wear and tear use.

• Jogging strollers – this type of stroller has thick rubber grips on its tires for easy riding and is found to be great for multiple terrains. The strollers are light in weight and have aluminum frames made in order for you to be able to jog while bringing your baby with you. Take note though that jogging strollers are generally not safe for newborns and must be used for children 6 months and older.
